IT Support Specialist

Summary The IT Support Specialist position will primary focus in areas of Apple computer, tablet and phone setup and operations, computer repair, wire and cable installation, set up/installing printers, user and desktop support (hardware and software), and helpdesk. This role requires the individual to work independently with minimal supervision. The individual will exercise judgment and creativity in developing and applying procedures correctly. May provide information and training to office and field staff as well as independent sales reps of Sunsolar Solutions.


  • Deployment of new user computer, tablet or phone hardware
  • Completes install, setup, configure and support of Mac, audiovisual equipment, tablets, printers and mobile devices. Troubleshoots hardware as needed.‬
  • Provides application assistance to end user as requested, replicates errors, resets computers and printers.‬
  • Responsible for verifying and upgrading computer software as needed
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
  • Provides technical support at various events
  • Administers user accounts
  • Researches and recommends system equipment upgrades and manages equipment inventory
  • Acts as a staff liaison for the computing operation, communicating, resolving, and/or initiating the resolution of problems and concerns
  • Develops and tests user documentation
  • Works with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures/problems
  • Must understand cable management to keep workstation areas clean and tidy
  • WiFi Access issues

  • To facilitate software issues, candidate must be proficient with:

  • Contribute to company goals by accomplishing related duties as required


Skills and Experience: Three to five years of related experience providing customer service in a technological environment. Knowledge of Apple computer, tablet, and phone hardware, software, and operation systems. Basic knowledge of network protocols. Preferable experience and knowledge of MDM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
